DYWIDAG-Systems International acquires Mexicana de Anclas Mineras
DYWIDAG-Systems International GmbH (DSI) is pleased to announce that DSI has acquired Mexicana de Anclas Mineras, Mexico, on March 3, 2006
Anclas Mineras, founded in the mid 1980's, is a Mexican producer of a wide range of mining products such as slotted tube friction bolts, cement cartridges, thread bolts and fibreglass scaling bars. They also develop and produce pneumatic installation machines for cement cartridges and tools for easy installation of bolts.
Located at Zapopan Jalisco in the main mining centre of Mexico, Anclas Mineras is the leading supplier of mining products to the non ferrous metal mining companies in Mexico. With its production site only 200 miles from the port of Manzanillo, Anclas Mineras also exports about one third of their production to Central and South America, especially to Chile.
DSI is global market leader in the development, production and application of mining products. During the last years DSI has also successfully established its Mining Business Sector. DSI has over 1,200 employees worldwide with operations across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
The facilities and contacts of Anclas Mineras provide a perfect basis for DSI to join forces and to further introduce their mining products and DSI mining technology in the rapidly expanding Mexican hard metal and coal mining market. Mexico with its growing economy and political connections is also a good location for manufacturing and exporting DSI mining products to the mines in South America.
DSI is pleased to welcome Anclas Mineras within its Mining Business and is looking forward to establish themselves successfully also in the Central and South American mining market.
Commencing March 3th, 2006 the business will operate as DSI-Anclas Mineras. It will be a wholly owned subsidiary of DSI and will operate from the existing location in Guadalajara. All employees will continue as DSI employees.
